Foosaner Art Museum

The Foosaner Art Museum is located in the Eau Gallie Arts District of Melbourne and features changing exhibitions of nationally and internationally recognized art. The museum also draws from its permanent collection of over 5,000 objects to present exhibitions relevant to the community and revealing of art historical movements.

The museum complex consists of the 15,000-square-foot, five-gallery museum and the Renee Foosaner Education Center across the street featuring classrooms that host adult and children’s art classes year round, workshops and a vibrant summer art camp.

On the Florida Tech campus, the Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts promotes the cultural understanding of and appreciation for textiles, fiber arts and associated objects for the university community and all of Brevard County. The only textile center in Florida, this two-story facility features 3,000 square feet of exhibition space and 2,500 square feet of collections storage and work space.

The center’s growing permanent collection includes over 1,200 objects, such as traditional handmade textiles, embroidery, garments and related accessories from Africa, Japan, India and Central Asia; European and North American embroidery and samplers from the 16th through the 20th centuries; and contemporary wearable art and fiber arts.
