With 72 miles of coastline, Brevard County’s beaches offer the perfect balance of relaxation and recreation, making this area a beach lover’s paradise. At the north end of the county, the Canaveral National Seashore offers stretches of beaches in their purest state. Cocoa Beach, Satellite Beach and Indialantic are popular with the locals and are sprinkled with beach parks, many offering recreational facilities and amenities, as well as beachfront restaurants and shops. At the south end of the county, the shores of Melbourne Beach are again more relaxed and peaceful, and are popular spots for nesting sea turtles.

Cocoa Beach Pier
A Brevard County landmark, the Westgate Resorts Cocoa Beach Pier has been entertaining residents and visitors since 1962. Located at the end of Meade Avenue, it’s here where you can eat and drink, shop, play volleyball, cast a line and watch world-class surfers hone their skills.

The pier is a great launch-watching site and towers above a beach on which many of the area’s most notable festivals and events  — such as the NKF Surf Festival, Memorial Day Beach Bash, New Year’s Eve celebrations, as well as various concerts and shows — take place.

The fishing pier is open daily with rod-and-reel rentals available. Beach-goers can rent boogie boards and beach chairs, too.

The Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier also has multiple restaurants including Mai Tiki Bar, which extends 800 feet over the ocean. For more information, visit WestgateResorts.com/Cocoa-Beach-Pier/
