Brevard County Art Districts

Representing a wide array of mediums, Brevard County’s art districts showcase not only the incredible talent of local artists, but also the talents of famed artists from around the country.

Historic Downtown Melbourne

Home of the Henegar Center for the Arts, the Melbourne Civic Theatre and the Strawbridge Art League, charming, busy downtown Melbourne also boasts a number of galleries. The big, juried Melbourne Art Festival takes place in downtown Melbourne each spring, while the Melbourne Main Street Fall Art Festival is held in September. Other shows and events take place throughout the year, as well.

Eau Gallie Arts District

The up-and-coming arts district has been home to a number of artists and galleries for years. EGAD, as it’s called, is home of the Foosaner Art Museum, as well as numerous artists’ studios and galleries, and puts on a First Friday Art Walk in which art vendors, shops and restaurants stay open late and exhibitions and art demonstrations are presented in the heart of the district. The area also hosts ArtWorks Eau Gallie Art Festival, a “plein air” art show and EGAD In Bloom, a flower and garden festival.

Historic Cocoa Village

Historic Cocoa Village is a hidden gem in the Central Florida arts community. Boasting a bright and vibrant atmosphere, each nook and cranny features artists’ work studios and galleries. The best times to check out the artistic community in Historic Cocoa Village is during the Arts & Craft Fairs held four times per year featuring over 150 local artists and crafters, or during the village’s twice per year “Shop Small Sip and Stroll” events that showcase the village’s artists and galleries among a night stroll through the village streets with music, wine and fine food being offered at various stops along the walk.

Historic Downtown Titusville

The number of artists in Titusville’s historic downtown district is growing and monthly special events take place to celebrate them. Titusville Art Walk, held once a month, promotes cultural awareness by allowing residents and visitors the opportunity to stroll through the district and view art at galleries, restaurants and studios.
