35th Annual Tico Warbird Airshow

35th Annual Tico Warbird Airshow

Friday, March 9 – Sunday, March 11, 2012

Space Coast Regional Airport

The Valiant Air Command will hold the 35th annual 3-day Tico Warbird Airshow 9, 10 and 11 March 2012. This year the airshow will be dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the famous “Doolittle Raiders.”

It promises to be a very special airshow with some 75-80 vintage aircraft on display and flying in the show; great warbirds such as the P-40 Warhawk, P-47 Thunderbolt, P-51 Mustang, F-8 Crusader, Grumman Wildcat, Avenger, F-4U Corsair and many, many more. Our special event, in honor of the “Doolittle Raiders” will be a flyover of a multiple flight of B-25s.

We will hope to have, as a special, honored guest one of only five (5) surviving members of the “Doolittle Raiders.” Additionally, we will have modern military jets flying and WWII reinactors fighting mock battles, as well as vendors, exhibits and displays. We will be offering rides in our vintage C-47 that actually flew in the Normandy invasion. There will be helicopter and bi-plane rides as well. Gates open at 8:30 AM and the airshow starts at 1PM, but there is plenty to do in the morning. There will be entertainment, an antique automobile showing, lots to see, warbirds to photograph, combat pilots to talk to, vendors to visit and mock battles to watch. The airshow is a combination country fair, 3-ring circus and 4th of July all rolled into one — visit and become a part of history!

So mark your calendars; visitors come from around the world. For more information contact: 321-268-1941, email us at vacwarbirds@bellsouth.net.
